Kingwood Observer Article (2011-09-28) American Jobs Act Is Just A Start

PDF of Article

I have already gotten a lot of response from this article. Some folks have called me a socialist, some a fascist (though they are mutually exclusive) and every name in between. The reality is that we, Americans must learn to feel better about ourselves and vote and act accordingly.

We have been taught to have a slave mentality by corporate America. We are made to believe that somehow those that control capital are worth more than those who make the society run. Our teachers, our scientists, our doctors, our engineers, our sanitation workers make society run. The manipulators of capital do not. Yes the system favors them and it is for that reason that business schools are bursting at the seams even as the academic fortitude of said degrees are nowhere as rigorous as the sciences or the education departments.

Americans must wake up and ensure that they take what they are worth out of the American pie and not allow a mind in chains controlled by the manipulators of capital to prevail. The reason I wrote the book “As I See It: Class Warfare The Only Resort To Right Wing Doom” is to dispel the brainwashing we have endured. I believe in capitalism as a tool for humanity, not an ideology or god. It is manmade and like any manmade procedure must be adjusted to fulfill man’s needs. Absent that we get the America of today. We get Class Warfare where the working class are nothing but indentured servants and commodities to those who hoard capital.

imageMany regular Americans will be travelling to Washington DC on October 29th, 2011 where the advocacy group Coffee Party USA will be conducting a peaceful rally called Enough Is Enough Citizens Intervention. I will be there.

Why don’t you come with us to assert that we are in fact the government. Visit the site www.citizensintervention.com and sign up to attend or to learn how you can make October 29th special in your area. We have got to start somewhere.

As I See It: Class Warfare The Only Resort To Right Wing Doomis an essential read. Going forward it is imperative that when we go into the voting booth that we are educated voters.Today’s politics affect your finances, your wealth, your job, and your income directly. This book ties it all together.

America is currently at a tipping point. There is an ideological battle between the Left Progressive Liberals and the Right Wing Conservatives.

This book illustrates the massive defects in the Right’s policies that have led us to the brink of a precipitous fall over a cliff. The book provides the real narrative that should be the balance between the corporation, the government, and the individual citizen. It dispels the notion of the corporation being inherently more benevolent than the government.

Most importantly the book presents a logical solution to the economic woes of the country. Implemented over time the suggested policy changes would ensure that America lives up to the America we all expect it to be.

This book is an easy read. It will allow you to open yourself and questions all that you thought you knew about our economy.

In the interest of full disclosure let me first state that I know Egberto Willies. Egberto Willies is a friend of mine
; there is no counterpart to his honest intellect and his uses of fact to refute the misdirections, obfuscations and distortions of the far right.  In a time when it has become popular to espouse a factually bereft point of view we are now in possession of the perfect antidote to counter the assertions of the willfully ignorant.

As I see It is a succinct, factual, well researched assessment of the socio-political abyss in which this country finds itself and exactly how we got there.  Time after time Egberto uses republicans’ own policies and absence to expose the complete falsehood that lies at the core of their “conservative principles”.  From their stunning lapses of their claimed superior morality to the genesis and continuation of that most odious of financial terms, “Reaganomics”, Egberto takes the reader through an exercise of understanding the errors of Republicanism not only from the American perspective but also from his broader perspective that he had the opportunity to observe while growing up in his native Panama.

While the irrefutable facts contained will be sobering to the neocon they will serve as an affirming alarm that we have to change the course in this country before we take a header off the precipice and become yet another banana republic that offered great promise.

I ordered your book through Barns & Noble, and finished it in one sitting.  Egberto, your book keyed in on a lot of key points and really did a great job of honing those
points. I am really surprised how well you were able to keep the fluff (emotions) out and just stay focused on the point(s).

I was in the Gym on the bike and they tend to have the LIE MACHINE on and I was listening to a debate between a repub and a dem and the repub espoused the idea that our Manufacturing jobs are going overseas because we are not competitive with those markets in China, etc. However, his opponent failed to point-out the language he was using.

Somehow people failed to realize that America at one time had a very strong manufacturing base with many skilled workers. So when a repub uses the (competitive word) he or she really means that Americas have to be paid lower wages and ultimately dumb down there skill levels so they can make more money for the wealthy at the expense of the America workers. ( No concern about America ).

Somehow this is missed by the average person and the dems. So I do believe and hope your book will assist the dems and the misinformed to comprehend what is really going on with the words and misinformation being promulgated by the ignorant lie machine and their cohorts.

Lost Decade for American Income – WSJ.com

It is great that WSJ is given some time to this issue now. Most Americans already new they were falling behind. Unfortunately there is nothing on the immediate horizon that will take the middleclass back to a growing path because for all practical purposes the titans of finance have unpatriotically sold out our country in their continued efficiency in wealth accumulation and their income expansion.

Interesting enough if the average Americans do not educate themselves, (after-all both main stream and Right Wing media mislead, the latter ever so much more) in order to not repeat the same mistakes of the last 30 years. It is clear that these policies had middleclass America simply treading water.

My book identifies & explores these issues and suggest big picture solutions that we pay our politicians to effect into policy.

By CONOR DOUGHERTY And SARA MURRAY

The downturn that some have dubbed the "Great Recession" has trimmed the typical household’s income significantly, new Census data show, following years of stagnant wage growth that made the past decade the worst for American families in at least half a century.

Conor Dougherty and Mark Whitehouse discuss two sides of America’s strained economy: a poverty rate that has climbed to its highest level since 1994 and the increasing income volatility among the rich.

The bureau’s annual snapshot of American living standards also found that the fraction of Americans living in poverty rose sharply to 14.3% from 13.2% in 2008—the highest since 1994. Some 43.6 million Americans were living below the official poverty threshold, but the measure doesn’t fully capture the panoply of government antipoverty measures.

The inflation-adjusted income of the median household—smack in the middle of the populace—fell 4.8% between 2000 and 2009, even worse than the 1970s, when median income rose 1.9% despite high unemployment and inflation. Between 2007 and 2009, incomes fell 4.2%.

"It’s going to be a long, hard slog back to what most Americans think of as normalcy or prosperous times," said Nicholas Eberstadt, a political economist at the right-leaning American Enterprise Institute.

Kingwood Observer Article (2011-09-14) A Recipe For Depression

Discount Books Resellers Must Have Broad Political Categories

These are political times. We have a population that no longer has an affinity for reading. Resellers of discount books must have broad political categories in their offerings to ensure that we do not get simply the option of reading novels or books of little consequence to one’s life.

So why am I writing this blog entry? I decided to visit many discount book stores online and brick and mortar and I was unable to find my own book either on the shelves or online. Most of them offered to get the book at full price. The problem is I am sure their buying power affords them to get the books at much better than list price.

So how is this problem solved? This blog is visited by many readers. Moreover, it is visited by readers who are looking for substance. It is imperative that you start emailing and writing booksellers inviting them to select more extensive repertoire of books. While they may say the demand is not there, do remind them that many times it is them who generate the demand by simply have good products that represent a good value, good books.
